We would like to share some of our wonderful happy endings with you. Hearing these stories really lift our spirits and make it all worth while. Please feel free to share yours with us.

CUPID

I wanted to follow up with your office about a wonderful dog, Cupid, that I adopted from your shelter a little over a year ago now. She is well adjusted and loves spending her time with my other rescue dog, Senna. They run and play and love going for off-leash walks in the woods where they can be one with nature. Hiking and camping are two of their favorite past-times.

Staff at the shelter mentioned that Cupid had been adopted as a pup and then returned back to the shelter a year later. For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would have returned her because she is such a warm, loving, relaxed and well-tempered dog. I guess everything happens for a reason, which is why she's home with me!!!

Cupid is such a wonderful addition to the family and I'm so glad that I took the trip to Peace River so that she could return to her furever home in Grande Prairie.

Thank you to the staff at the shelter. You do such wonderful work and should be very proud of yourselves!! Cupid has lots of kisses for everyone there!!

Love Always, Shannon

Charlie and Suzie

Hi, I'm Jessica Pruden. Here are two beautiful dogs that myself and my boyfriend have adopted. The big one is Charlie and the little one is the newest addition Suzie. We got Charlie around December of 08 as a gift from a friend. We got him shortly after our lab had died. our friend adopted him und Jason's name and brought him out to our acreage. He has been the greatest present ever. December was a very emotional month for us and Charlie made everything seem so much better. He is truely a life saver. But sadly, about a month after getting Charlie he had become ill and started having seizures. So we did all we could and saved him as he had saved ours. Now he is as healthy as a horse and eats like one too! At 19 months old he is currently weighs in at 83lbs and I swear he thinks he is a shiz tzu. LOL We love him very much and he is one of the best dogs we have ever had. As for Suzie we have only had her for a few weeks and can already tell she is gonna be a handfull. She is very quiet and shy but when she gets going we have a hard time catching up with her. I am sure she will turn out to be a wonderful dog just like her adopted brothers Charlie and Outlaw (Not shown in Picture) Jessica and Jason

Brynne

Larissa, I just wanted to let you know we came to see Brynne on Sunday and Melissa (I hope I have her name right) was fantastic; the end result is that we adopted Brynne – I am pretty sure you must know that by now, but I just wanted to write and let you know that we are very happy with her. Thank you for suggesting her, I would never have looked at her otherwise and she is a perfect, gentle old lady. Many thanks to you and your staff for being so helpful and even allowing us to come on a Sunday when you were supposed to be closed. Lydia Zilahy

This was one of our shelter kittens named TO TO! He came to us with a rather large hernia. We were unsure whether or not he would be adoptable. Thanks to Dr. Tara at the Mighty Peace Vet Clinic in Grimshaw, His hernia was repaired and he has since been adopted to a forever home! Thank you Dr. Tara!!

Gretal
